At Buddo Parents Academy (BPA), we believe that education extends far beyond the classroom walls. While we are committed to academic excellence, we are equally dedicated to nurturing responsible, environmentally-conscious citizens who understand the value of the world around them.
We are delighted to share that our school recently partnered with the KCB Bank team for a transformative environmental initiative: the planting of 100 indigenous fruit trees on our school grounds.
This event was more than just a planting exercise; it was a key part of KCB Bank’s ongoing sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) campaign. By choosing to work with BPA, KCB Bank aims to promote a greener, more sustainable future across Uganda, starting with the next generation of leaders.
The day was a fun display of community spirit. Our boarding pupils, teaching staff, and the Director, Mr. Michael Kawooya Mwebe, joined forces with the KCB representatives to get their hands into the soil.
Seeing our students work alongside professionals to nurture these saplings was a powerful lesson in environmental stewardship.
The event was made even more special by the weather. Just as the planting began, the skies opened up, providing a steady, gentle rain that served as a natural blessing for our 100 new trees. It was a beautiful reminder that when we take care of nature, nature takes care of us in return.
These 100 trees will serve as a living legacy on our campus, providing shade, fresh fruit, and a healthier environment for our pupils for many years to come.
